Steven Doherty is a professional photographer and award winning hair stylist based in the greater Boston area. A Hopkinton native, Steven lived and worked in Boston for many years, establishing himself as a premier colorist and winning Boston Magazine’s annual “Best of Boston” award.

“As a hairdresser, there is a great sense of accomplishment when someone is smiling from ear to ear about the way their hair looks, and with a photograph that smile is immortalized forever.”

Steven’s hairdressing took on a whole new level of aesthetic. Hairstyles, colors, and wigs were being honed behind the lens of his camera. Now wanting a venue to share his art with the public, Steven took his brother’s suggestion to use one of several greenhouses on his property as a gallery, and Gallery G was born. It serves as a multifaceted event space encompassing all mediums of art.
